Course permission - intensive course (PIK)

PIK:

The course permission intensive course is suitable for all those who enjoy activity holidays and would like to work intensively on their golfing skills. From Monday to Friday you can build the foundations for a perfect golf swing and deepen your knowledge of golf rules and etiquette. The course is suitable for beginners or golfers with previous knowledge who would like to pass their DGV course permission exams.

The PIK includes the following:

5 x 3 hours golf lessons with our PGA golf teacher
Attendance at theory course: Rules and Etiquette
Free play on the WINSTONkranich short course
Fitted club hire for the duration of the course
1,000 range balls to practice on the driving range

The minimum group size for this course is 2 people. A maximum of 6 people per week can pass the PIK. WINSTONgolf GmbH reserves the right to cancel the course should too few people have registered two weeks before the scheduled course date.

If you would like to learn to play golf step by step and move purposefully towards gaining your DGV course permission certificate, then our starter packages are exactly right for you. These packages have been optimally put together to provide you with a good basic golfing education at a fair price.
Nevertheless you retain the flexibility to ensure that other commitments do not impede the development of your golfing skills, while also the most skilful of you can get your money’s worth and determine the pace yourselves.

Starter-package I

Starter package I is ideal for everyone who, having taken a taster or beginners course (although this is not mandatory), have decided to get a little deeper into golf.
After successful completion of starter package I, you will have passed the golfing theory examination, the first important stage towards attaining your DGV course permission certificate.

Starter-package I includes the following:

4 x 90 minutes of group coaching
Option of 25 minutes’ individual coaching instead of 90 minutes’ group coaching
2 x 90 minutes’ coaching on the WINSTONkranich in a foursome
Attendance at the theory course on rules and etiquette on Tuesdays at 18.30 hrs

Fair Play: rules and etiquette

A lot can happen during a round of golf: balls land in the water or undergrowth, or get lost, or the ball of another players may be accidentally played. The knowledge of the golf rules and etiquette is all a part of this and will be imparted during the WINSTONgolf rules course. The free courses take place on Tuesdays.

Test for DGV course permission

To play on the WINSTONkranich you will need the official DGV course permission. At WINSTONgolf you can take the requisite exam after completing the course programme. The aim is to reach a handicap of at least -54.

Exam: The theoretical and practical exam for the DGV course permission takes altogether about three hours and is set by the Marshal or golf teacher. In the theory test your knowledge of rules and etiquette will be tested. The practical exam consists of playing from six to nine holes on the WINSTONopen. After a successful test you will receive a certificate as proof of your course permission according to the Deutscher Golfverband (DGV) and confirmation of your current handicap.
