Playing the balls to your own dream
Some moments make your heart miss a beat: this one happened in the late seventies. The 11-year-old Stephan was watching TV – and suddenly became wide awake when a clip from the August Masters was shown. The boy was certain: “I’m going to learn to play golf.”
But dreams sometimes take time – and that time arrived in 1993: when Stephan was studying in Preston, he joined the Golf Society of the University of Central Lancashire. He bought his first golf equipment and became a permanent guest at the driving range and the nearby courses. When he began employment in Ireland in 1997, he discovered his love of links golf – and soon had entirely new career plans …
After a short time, Stephan was a golf coach – and became a fully-qualified PGA golf professional in 2009. He has been an integral part of our WINSTONgolf family since 2017. He takes part in national and international ProAm tournaments year after year, and likes to meet the challenge in the »Beat the Pro«-competition.
